Here is a great opportunity to get outdoor fieldwork experience and advanced training in such technical areas as "white balance", file compression, mixed lighting, exposure compensation, and ISO settings in a twilight and nighttime setting at the Tidal Basin. Conducted by professional photographer and digital camera specialist Melanie Otto, this safari will take you through the photographic challenges presented by the statues and waterfalls of the FDR Memorial at night and by the reflected images of the Washington Monument and the Jefferson Memorial in the waters of the Tidal Basin. You will also learn how to blur your water images with slow shutter speeds, and how to fill your frame with haunting nighttime images of the Civilian Conservation Corps faces.
Must have STURDY tripod!
